Stephany B. Neal

Stephany B. Neal is a sought-after and respected leader in cultural programming, international relations, and the arts. As CEO of S & D Consulting Services, Ms. Neal is an expert in program and project management, event planning, entertainment management, and strategy development.

 

She is a highly- accomplished organizational consultant with more than three decades of experience developing, coordinating, and administrating high-profile programs, events, exhibitions, and meetings. Ms. Neal has directed programs, domestically and internationally, for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Africa Regional Services, Armed Forces Entertainment, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment of the Humanities.

Her high-level collaborations with the American Embassy in Paris, the U.S. Mission to Geneva, and the United Nations, have resulted in programs and events in the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Senegal, the Ivory Coast, and numerous other African countries.

 

Ms. Neal is the CEO and Founder of The 369th Experience, a historic series of global music programs designed to acknowledge, educate, and preserve the legacy of The 369th U.S. Infantry Regimental band, also known as the Harlem Hellfighters. She re-created the original band with African American and Puerto Rican student musicians representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other colleges across the United States.

 

Ms. Neal coordinated the band’s performances at venues including the World War I Memorial site, Marcus Garvey Park, Liberty State Park, aboard the USS Intrepid, Rockefeller Center, the opening of The Shed, the National Museum of African American History & Culture, the residence of the French Ambassador, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and opening for Jon Batiste at the Something in the Water Festival.

She spearheaded the development of an educational curriculum introducing the Harlem Hellfighters to more than 10 million students. Educational components included a K-12 Study Guide meeting the Department of Education’s standards for certain core subjects and a College Resource Guide for undergraduate, graduate, and general public researchers.

 

Ms. Neal specializes in curating transformative personal and professional development opportunities for her band members, including virtual and in-person master classes led by leading musicians, scholars, and historians like Jon Batiste, Christian McBride, Jason Moran, Dr. John H. Morrow, Jr., Dr. Jeffrey T. Sammons, and Bobby Sanabria.

 

Ms. Neal is a relationship builder, barrier breaker, and creative solution generator. Her passion, drive, and laser focus on positive outcomes and solutions allow her to overcome obstacles and achieve goals skillfully and effectively.

Stephany holds an MBA/MS in Technology Management-Project Management from the University of Maryland University College. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bethune Cookman University and an Associate Degree in Marketing Management from Bluefield State College.
